As an On Site Soccer Supervisor, you'll help ensure practices and games run smoothly by supporting coaches and referees, assisting participants and families, and creating a fun, safe environment for everyone. Every day is different, and you'll play an important role in making the soccer season a success.

Department: Williston Parks and Recreation
Status: Part-Time
Hourly Wage: $18-$22/hr DOE
Supervisor: Recreation Staff
Essential Job Duties:
- Responsible for on-site supervision of soccer practices, games, and events.
- Provide a safe and enjoyable environment for participants, coaches, and spectators.
- Set up and tear down soccer fields, goals, equipment, and supplies.
- Support coaches and officials during program activities.
- Monitor fields and equipment for safety concerns.
- Assist participants and parents with basic program-related questions.
- Communicate effectively with Recreation staff regarding program needs and concerns.
- Promote sportsmanship, fair play, and positive participant behavior.
- Miscellaneous duties and assignments as identified by Recreation staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provides oversight and support to referees during assigned events. May be required to officiate games when referees are unavailable or when additional coverage is needed.
Guidelines:
- Include the Park District Policies and Procedures. These guidelines are clear and specific but may require some interpretation in application.
Knowledge Required by Position:
- Knowledge of soccer rules, fundamentals, and game operations.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to interact positively with participants, parents, coaches, officials, and staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to make sound decisions and resolve minor issues during program activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be available to work primarily evenings and weekends.
- Ability to confidently and professionally resolve conflicts involving coaches, parents, players, referees, and spectators.
- Ability to work approximately 20–25 hours per week during the soccer season.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of soccer through playing, coaching, officiating, or participation preferred.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid North Dakota driver's license preferred.
- Ability to perform the essential physical and mental functions of the position.
