Youth Strider

May contain: helmet, clothing, footwear, shoe, person, bicycle, transportation, and vehicle

STRIDER bikes are non-pedal bikes designed to help children build confidence and overcome fear by allowing them to keep their feet on the ground and progress at their own pace. Riders focus on mastering the fundamental skills of balancing, leaning, and steering while naturally propelling the bike, making the transition to a pedal bike smooth and easy even without training wheels.

Each session meets four times at the ARC on the lower track unless otherwise noted. Helmets and bikes are provided by Williston Parks and Recreation District, though participants are welcome to bring their own. This program is a fun and supportive way for kids to gain independence on two wheels while developing essential biking skills.

*Equipment required but not provided: Helmet. Some available to borrow.
