Williston Parks & Recreation is proud to offer an American Red Cross–certified Lifeguard Training course designed to prepare participants with the skills and confidence needed to respond to aquatic emergencies.

Class Format:

• Blended learning
  • Online portion must be completed before the in-person class
  • Online training is sent one week prior to the class

What to Bring:

• Towel
• One-piece swimsuit

Requirements to Pass:

• 150-meter swim
• 10 lb brick dive
• Tread water for 2 minutes with no hands
• CPR skills test including recognize, rescue, backboard, and perform 2 minutes of CPR
• Written lifeguard test with a passing score of 80%

On-Site Training Option

We can travel to your facility with a minimum of 30 days’ notice.

• Cost: $350 per person
• Same criteria must be met to pass the class.
• Williston Parks and Recreation can supply all materials if needed but for familiarity with your own facility, we prefer that you provide backboards and medical supplies.

What you will earn:

• A certified lifeguard pack
• Lifeguarding (including deep water), CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, and First Aid certification from the American Red Cross, valid for two years from the test date.
