ADA Accessibility & Transition Plan

Williston Parks & Recreation District (WPRD) is committed to making our programs, services, activities, and facilities accessible to everyone. We follow the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title II, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act to ensure individuals with disabilities have equal access and opportunity.

Our ADA Transition Plan helps guide ongoing improvements so that no one is excluded, denied services, or treated unfairly because of a disability.

What we do to support accessibility

  • Offer programs and services in settings that are welcoming and inclusive
  • Make reasonable changes to policies or procedures when needed
  • Provide communication aids and services, when appropriate
  • Ensure new buildings and facility improvements meet ADA accessibility standards

Need an accommodation or have a question?
Our ADA Coordinator helps with accommodation requests, accessibility concerns, and questions. We encourage you to reach out ahead of time so we can best support your needs.

ADA Complaints & Feedback
If you experience an accessibility barrier or believe you were treated unfairly because of a disability, we want to hear from you. WPRD has a clear process for reviewing and resolving ADA-related concerns.

You can file an ADA complaint here.

Complaints should be submitted within 180 days of the incident. You will receive a response in a timely manner, and we are happy to discuss concerns in person or virtually when needed.

Accessible Information & Communication
We are committed to clear and effective communication. Information, forms, and online content are available in accessible formats upon request. Translation or interpretation services are also available as needed.

Ongoing Commitment

We regularly review our ADA policies and Transition Plan to make improvements and ensure continued accessibility for our community. Have a suggestion? We welcome your feedback.

Our goal is simple: to make Williston Parks & Recreation welcoming and accessible for everyone.
